Occasion by Design is not registered for GST therefore, GST is not added to our prices. All prices are in Australian Dollars and are subject to change without notice.

Order Processing & Payment

Occasion by Design offer a number of ways to order stylish supplies for your special occasion.

1. Online: Shop online 24/7!
2. Email: We accept orders via email. Simply email info@occasionbydesign.com.au, let us know what you would like and how you would like to pay. We will confirm your order within 24 hours (business days only).
3. Mail: You can mail us your order details. Just let us know what you would like and include your contact details and will confirm your order within 24 hours (business days only).

Forms of payment 

Orders will be dispatched once payment has been received.

1. Direct Deposit – When making payments by direct deposit simply choose this option when checking out and our bank details will be displayed to facilitate payment. Please quote your order number in the reference field. 
2. Credit Card - We welcome payment by Visa and Mastercard.

Availability of Stock

Occasion by Design strives to keep all items in stock in quantities to meet your requirements; however like with all retail businesses, some items will sometimes run low, be discontinued without the knowledge of Occasion by Design or be backordered by our supplier.

If an item you have ordered is unavailable in the advertised timeframe, we will contact you immediately to let you know and provide you with the option to replace or refund your order. If you have any questions about this, please email us at info@occasionbydesign.com.au.

Australian orders and shipping

$8.75 flat rate for all standard parcels.

We also offer Express Post at a flat rate of $15 for all orders weighing under 3 Kilograms. 

Due to the bulkiness of some of our items, shipping costs may greatly exceed the posted rates. In these rare cases a quote on shipping will be provided via email for your approval before the order is finalised.

Occasion by Design uses Australia Post or Couriers to deliver your purchases across Australia as quickly as possible, however please allow up to 5 business days after order has been finalised and dispatched. Delivery of personalised items may take up to 8 weeks.

International orders and shipping

Unfortunately, we currently do not ship orders outside of Australia.                    

Returns

Returns that will not be accepted

1. Please Choose carefully as we will not exchange or refund goods because you change your mind.
2. Orders returned without prior authorisation will not be accepted and will be subject to all freight charges incurred in the shipping and back shipping of goods.
3. Goods that have been used and / or their original packaging is no longer in tack.
4. We regret we will be unable to accept the return of seasonal items after the season has ended or sale items that are no longer stocked.
5. Items correctly personalised cannot be returned. Information will be applied to the product in the same order and exactly as submitted.
6. Heat damage of candles or confectionery during transit. Occasion by Design does not guarantee the safe arrival of candles or confectionery shipped during the warmer months.
7. Fragile items such as those made of ceramic or glass damaged during transit. We are not liable for any damage whatsoever caused by third parties as we take great care in packaging your order to reach you intact.
8. Slight product variations. Although we try to maintain high standards, many items are handcrafted, and therefore slight variations may occur.
9. Colour variations. While every effort has been made to accurately display the colours shown on our website, colours vary to an extent due to the monitor they are viewed on. We cannot guarantee that your monitor will display the colour accurately or as intended.

Returns that will be accepted

To organise a refund or exchange of goods that are faulty or not as described, please contact us within 7 days of receipt of your order at info@occasionbydesign.com.au with the following details:

1. Your Name
2. Order Number
3. Product Name
4. Reason for exchange.

Goods will need to be returned in as new (unused) condition, with their original packaging intact, together with the original receipt within 7 days of being issued the return authorisation.

It is advisable to take insurance on your return post as Occasion by Design will not be held responsible for any product lost or damaged in delivery.

You will be responsible for all freight charges incurred in the shipping and back shipping of goods. The exchange or refund will be processed when the goods are safely returned to us.

Security and Privacy

The Occasion by Design online store uses the Suncorp Virtual Online Payment System. It is a fully integrated payment system that uses state-of-the-art encryption security technology, your online order is secure.

Your privacy is important to us. We will never trade, lease or sell your name, e-mail address, or other personal information.

Email

Occasion by Design email and mailing lists are managed and maintained in-house, we respect your privacy and will not send email to you unless you ask to receive it.
